This page lists brief comments about the gigs (written at the time - so they may seem strange with the benefit of hindsight!) that took place during 2007, together with links to the appropriate set of photos. Thanks to everyone who supported us at these gigs - it wouldn't have been the same without you! In addition, 2007 had been the band's most successful year (until 2008!) - this was even more amazing when you consider that we took 4 months off during Kay's pregnancy!

Our final gig of 2007 was the New Year's Eve Celebration at Cannock Social Working Mens Club in association with Diamond Entertainments. We had a brilliant time, and the punters seemed to have had a great time as well. Certainly everything seemed to go really well, and the dance floor seemed full for most of the evening. There was an excellent link-up with BBC TV for the seeing in of the New Year, with awesome sound provided by John. No one wanted to stop, even though the bar staff were trying to close up and get some rest after a very long and busy day (and night). Thanks to everyone for your brilliant support, and we'll hope to see you all again in 2008. For now, enjoy some of Gill's best pictures of the year!

The Oakham Reunion Celebrations went down a storm on Saturday 29th December, and it was great to be involved for the third year running. We managed to play something for everyone, and had a full dance floor with the classic dance numbers in the second half. Here are some pictures to give a flavour of the evening.

We enjoyed being part of Rachael's birthday celebrations on Thursday 27th December, and hope she enjoyed the music as much as we enjoyed playing it. We also found out that the new camera has some tricky settings to master, so here are some interesting pictures!

We returned to the Waggon and Horses on Saturday 22nd December for our last fully public gig of the year, and had a packed house enjoying our range of songs, and loving the Christmas touches! All being well, we'll look forward to seeing you again in 2008, and this time we will have the talk box with us! Gill had a new camera for Christmas, and was trying it out at the gig: see the results here!

We paid our second visit to the Hill & Cakemore ExServicemen's Club on Saturday 8th December, and received a warm welcome, as usual. We also resurrected Bimal's talk box for "Livin' On A Prayer" which is always popular, as well as playing all of the songs people enjoy so much. Gill's photos capture the atmosphere, and we'll be seeing you all on our visit in 2008!

We received a warm and enthusiastic welcome in our first gig at Ball Green Working Mens Club on Saturday 1st December. We played three sets in this lovely club, which gave Kay a chance to debut some stunning new dresses, as well as having three clothes changes instead of the usual two. Gill took some excellent photos which give a good idea of the gig, again using Kay and John's camera. These can be seen here. We'll look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Thanks to Taff and the enthusiastic crowds at Charlemont Bowling Club on Saturday 24th November for a great reception! Even after our three encores, they still wanted more - we really appreciate it, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in 2008. Gill took some photos using Kay and John's digital camera, so as to take advantage of the zoom lens, and you can see the results here!

We received a great welcome from Roger and the lovely folk at Bewell Head Workmans Club on Saturday 17th November - everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, including us, especially as this was our first visit to this delightful club in Bromsgrove - but it won't be our last! Thank you all for the excellent reception, and we'll be seeing you all again in 2008! Until then, here are Gill's excellent photos!

Many thanks to Dean and Tony plus the enthusiastic punters at Rowley & Blackheath Labour Club on Saturday 10th November for a great evening. It was our third visit, but ironically our first "real" gig, as the previous visits have been for special awards evenings! Apologies for the PA problems, but many thanks for the warm reception, and to the energetic dancers! We'll see you all again in 2008, and here are Gill's photos to remind you of a fun evening!

We had a great night at The Queensway in Stourbridge on Saturday 3rd November, for a return visit after the brilliant gig we had there last year. Once again, the punters joined in and had a great time, as did we. It was great to see people dancing through virtually the whole second half, especially in a public house. We have Gill's photos as always here, plus some extra ones taken by our friend Marion!

Thanks to everyone at Harrisons Sports & Social Club, Great Wyrley, where we had a great time on Saturday 6th October. We were given a warm reception, as we were earlier in the year, and in the second half the dancers kept the floor busy! As always, Gill managed to fit in some photographs in between operating the lights, which you can see here, and we'll see you all again in 2008!

We started gigging again on Saturday 29th September at Brierley Hill Labour Club, where we received our usual warm welcome from the enthusiastic punters. We also unleashed our new Bose PA system, which cut down on the amount of equipment on stage, as you will see if you check out the photographs, taken as always by Gill! Enjoy the rest of the year, and we'll see you again in 2008!

We had the honour of performing at the Northampton NSPCC May Ball on Saturday 12th May, and we performed all of our dancier songs rather than including slower numbers and ballads. The select audience seemed to enjoy themselves and kept the dance floor busy the whole time. Many thanks to Jenny for inviting us to perform! There are some pictures which Gill managed to take here!

We received another excellent reception when we performed at Hawkins Sports & Social Club for their Bowling Presentation on Friday 20th April - we had plenty of requests for encores and the dancers kept the floor filled for the whole of the second set. Many thanks to Barry and the warm crowds there, and all being well we'll see you again soon. Congratulations to all of the prize winners of course! Gill's photos (albeit few in number due to a very busy evening!) can be seen here!

Many thanks to Dean and the enthusiastic crowds at Rowley & Blackheath Labour Club who gave us a fantastic reception on 14th April - congratulations to all of the prize winners in the Fishing Awards as well! Gill's photos are here - sorry for the delay, plus later on you should be able to hear some of the songs as we were able to record most of the gig: it'll appear on the MP3 page next month! And as if that wasn't enough, we'll see you all again in November!

Our 2007 return to Cannock Social Working Mens Club in association with Diamond Entertainments on Easter Saturday - 7th April - was greeted with another warm and enthusiastic audience - including people who had seen us before and come back for more! We debuted some new songs as well as including a requested favourite, and the dancers kept the dancefloor busy. Many thanks for your continued support and we'll hope to see you all again later in the year. Check out the photos here!

We returned to the Hill & Cakemore ExServicemen's Club on Bimal's birthday - 31st March - for the first time in four years. We received a brilliant welcome, and clearly everyone enjoyed the latest version of the band - thanks to the dancers for keeping the floor busy, and here are some photos taken by Gill to remind you of a great evening. We hope to see you again in less than four years - in fact, thanks to Darren, we've just heard that it will be in December! Who knows - maybe we can have some Christmas songs for you...

We had a fantastic time at the Waggon and Horses Family Pub on 10th March - the crowds were incredibly enthusiastic, joined in, and generally had a great evening, as did we. Many thanks to Brian for the booking, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again on our return in May! Thanks also to Jenny for taking the photos - Gill wasn't within view of the performing as well as dealing with the lights, so Jenny kindly stepped into the breach: you can see the results here!

We got another brilliant reception from the crowds at Stechford Social Working Mens Club on 3rd March for our second gig for them, despite Bimal having some technical problems (which turned out to be a dodgy lead) - the show went down a storm, with a busy dancefloor and appreciative audience! Yet again, we received several encores, and everyone had a great evening. Gill's photos are here and we'll see you again in October, when Bimal will have double-checked all of his leads! ;-)

We'd like to thank Tony and the excellent crowds at Harrisons Sports & Social Club on 24th February for the brilliant reception we received on another first visit. The club has a lovely feel with a great dance floor with mirrored ceiling and loads of lights - and the floor was kept full throughout virtually the whole second set, as well as several moments during the first set! Again, we got several encores, and shouts for more, even when we'd finished! We'll see you all again in October, and until then, here are Gill's photos to remind you of us!

Many thanks to Taff and the excellent crowds at Charlemont Bowling Club on 3rd February, with our first visit to this lovely club, for the very warm welcome we received! We had a great time, and clearly so did the punters who got four encores from the band. There are some photos that Gill took in between operating the lights for us here, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again for our return visit in November!

We got 2007 off to a brilliant start performing at Brierley Hill Labour Club on 6th January - our first gig of the year, and another fantastic reception from our friends at this club, who have been stalwart supporters of the band for many years. Best wishes to Malcolm and Irene on their "special occasions" this week, and for their continuing support of the band. As usual, Gill took some photos, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in September! Happy New Year to you all!
