This page lists comments about all of the gigs that we played during 2011 - as you will appreciate, the comments may seem strange when viewed with hindsight. Many thanks to everyone who supported us during another busy and successful year! 2011 continued the trends started in 2010. It again saw us being essentially fully-booked for 2012 even before 2012 had begun! We have again received bookings for 2013!. Now the challenge is always to maintain this momentum in successive years. As we said at this time last year, we'd have to see if 2011 lived up to its promise, which it most definitely has done - so here's to 2012! Who knows what this year holds in store for us, but it's going to be exciting! As usual, there are links to the appropriate photos page.

Our final gig of the year was at Netherton Liberal Club for their New Year's Eve celebrations. As you might expect, the club was packed with everyone looking forward to an evening to remember: as you might guess, we played our hearts out to make sure that everyone had the time of their lives! The dance floor really became busy when we rolled out the rock classics in the second set, and it stayed that way for the rest of the evening, ably assisted by the resident DJ. John brought in the New Year in his own inimitable style, and we played a short third set to keep the party going! Many thanks to you all for a brilliant start to 2012: see you all again in November! Enjoy Gill's pics here!

We returned to Cradley Heath Liberal Club on Boxing Day, 26th December, and pulled out all the stops for an extra-special post-Christmas celebration! Judging by the response of the packed audience, we got things right - everyone seemed to have a brilliant evening, and the requests for encores continued despite already having played several - so we added one more just for fun! Thanks to Steve and the punters for another fantastic reception and we'll see you all again in March 2012! Check out Gill's photos here!

We returned to Cradley Labour Club for our 2011 gig on 17th December - it's been more than a year since our last visit, and the changes all seemed to go down really well! There was a great party atmosphere and people were dancing for virtually the whole evening. Thank you all for such a brilliant welcome, and for asking for so many encores! We'll hope to see you all again really soon - have a great Christmas and enjoy Gill's photos now they have finally appeared!

We returned to Quarry Bank Labour Club after virtually a whole year of gigging on Saturday 10th December and were greeted by a packed room, with the punters enjoying everything we played. The dance floor was in action very quickly and kept busy for the rest of the evening, especially in the second set. Many thanks to you all for the fantastic welcome once again, plus the calls for encores, and we'll see you in July 2012 with more new songs! Gill took her usual quota of photos which are now here - and with a difference...

We returned to Pensnett Social Welfare Centre on Sunday 4th December for our third visit of the year, and despite having had a hectic weekend, we pulled out all of the stops, as usual! A new number here and there plus all of the old favourites went down well with the punters, despite the very cold weather! Thanks to you all for the lovely welcome once again and the encores at the end, and we'll see you all again in May 2012! As always, Gill captured a selection of shots during the gig which capture some of the ambience of the show!

We were honoured and delighted to have been asked to provide entertainment for Cheryl and Sam's wedding celebrations on Saturday 3rd December, which took place at The Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton. The weather was bright and crisp, and the setting was ideal. We had a great time playing to the happy couple and their guests, and the choice of material seemed to go down really well, as always. In addition, John did a fantastic job providing the disco and additional music, introductions and keeping everything flowing! Our very best wishes to Cheryl and Sam as they start their new lives together, and many thanks for the glowing compliments we received! Photos are here!

We returned to the Oldbury Royal British Legion Club on Thursday 1st December for the first time since 2006! We helped to provide entertainment, along with the comedian Nipper, for their Dominoes Awards Night, and were delighted to be able to help them celebrate! Many thanks to all of the generous donors who took the total to over £4000 (as of at the gig - other events will have increased the total even more!), and we were delighted by the wonderful reception we received: we had to play 7 encores, which has got to be some sort of a record! Many thanks for the wonderful compliments we received! Gill managed to get a few tasteful pictures, whilst dodging the dancers! ;-)

We were honoured to be asked to play at a special event in Welland, Malvern on Sunday 29th May, organised by the Malvern and Worcester Camping and Caravan Club, where we played in a huge marquee (the largest we've ever performed in, by a long way!). We returned to one of our regular haunts on Saturday 12th February, when we played at Dudley ExServicemen's Club. It was very different from the last time we'd played here last year, when thick snow meant that few were able to turn up to the gig. In contrast, the club was packed and we received a fabulous welcome from everyone! The songs went down really well - even the new ones that are still a little rough around the edges! Thank you all for a brilliant evening, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in May! Gill's photos have arrived at last!

The packed crowd gave us a fantastic welcome, and the dance floor saw plenty of action, especially in the second half. Thanks to Trevor and the punters for a fantastic evening, and we'll be back in December with plenty of new songs for you! Gill photos are here!

We opened our 2011 gig season on Saturday 15th January when we played at Weston Coyney Private Social Club in association with Diamond Entertainments. As usual, we received a very warm welcome, with lots of enthusiastic audience participation and a busy dance floor during our final set! We had a major problem with our PA system which we managed to cobble a solution to before we began, and it didn't seem to dampen anyone's enjoyment of the evening. We'll see you all again in October, with our repaired PA system and plenty of new songs! Sadly there are no photos as Gill was otherwise detained due to circumstances beyond our control... Sorry.
