This page lists comments about all of the gigs that we played during 2013 - as you will appreciate, the comments may seem strange when viewed with hindsight. Many thanks to everyone who supported us during another amazingly busy and successful year! 2013 has broken all records beyond any comparison. We already have all of our Saturdays booked for 2014, and it has been that way for several months. We have also seen a big increase in private bookings - for wedding receptions, birthday parties and similar events - many thanks to everyone who has supported us by booking us for your extra-special days - we have plenty more lined up for 2014 as well, so thank you all for your faith and confidence in us - we won't disappoint you! We were voted "Best Trio" for the first time by South Staffs Entertainments, which we were delighted by. We won't rest on our laurels, and we know that the competition is always tough. We have plenty of surprises and tricks up our sleeves, so bring on 2014 and let's see what happens! Once again, many thanks to everyone who has supported us in any way throughout 2013 - it is appreciated far more than we can ever say! We played at Cradley Heath Liberal Club on New Year's Eve, where the enthusiastic punters were queuing up before the doors opened - even though they already had their tickets and seats booked! The evening went fabulously well - the dance floor was packed for most of the evening, without even room for anyone else at several points - notably "Human", "Lip Up Fatty" and "Welcome To The Monkey House"! We were completed blown away by everyone's enthusaism and the brilliant welcome we received. It also saw Steve's final event as Ents Sec and we'd like to take this opportunity to thank him for the support he has shown the band over the years: it has been very much appreciated and will not be forgotten! All the very best to you Steve, and we'll look forward to seeing the punters in May 2014! We returned to Yew Tree Farm for the WHDA as we did last year and were once again greeted by a fabulously enthusiastic crowd, who danced and enjoyed the evening tremendously - it is always a pleasure to see the crowds enjoying themselves so much! The material was very well received and encores followed and everyone - us included - had a brilliant evening! Many thanks to you all, and here's to 2014! We played at one of our longstanding venues, The Royal British Legion Club in Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, on Saturday 28th December, and despite a multitude of weird technical issues, we delivered an action-packed show, with plenty of popular songs. many of which had the dance floor packed, plus the usual yells for more. Many thanks for the warm welcome and a packed club! Happy New Year to you all! We returned to the Stockingford AA Pavilion Club for our third gig of the year for them on Saturday 21st December and were once again greeted by a packed and enthusiastic room - they enjoyed all of their favourites plus several new tunes and the inevitable Christmas hits, with plenty of dancing throughout the evening! Many thanks for another wonderful welcome and have a great Christmas and New Year! We returned to Sedgley Working Men's Club for our final gig for them of 2013 on Saturday 14th December and were once again greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of punters who seemed to enjoy the whole evening, including the Christmas songs. The dance floor saw plenty of action as usual. Many thanks to you all - and of course to Roger - for the brilliant welcome yet again, have a great Christmas and we'll see you all again in 2014! We played our debut gig at Springvale Sports & Social Club on Sunday 8th December, and were greeted by a packed room and a lot of very enthusiastic punters! The material we played seemed to go down really well, and the dance floor also saw plenty of action in the second slot! Thank you all for a brilliant reception, and we'll hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future! We returned to Cheslyn Hay Community & Sports Club for our second gig of the year with them on Saturday 7th December, and were greeted once again by an enthusiastic audience, who seemed to enjoy everything we played. We even got to include some songs we hadn't expected to be playing, and those also seemed to go down well! Many thanks for the wonderful welcome and we'll see you next year in June! We returned to the Austin Sports & Social Club on Saturday 30th November, a year to the day since we were last there - this year, we shared the bill with our friend Simply Sarah who delivered a couple of excellent sets. Our material was once again well received, especially the several new numbers, and the dance floor saw plenty of action in the second spot. Thanks for the excellent welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you in 2014. We were invited to return to The Fiddlers Arms on Saturday 23rd November where we were greeted by a warm and friendly, enthusiastic group of punters who seemed to really enjoy our music - there was plenty of dancing at all of the right moments, and the rock numbers were very well received too! Many thanks for the wonderful welcome and for allowing us to enjoy the wonderful buffet as well! ;-) We were delighted to be asked for the 4th year running to play at the Skittles Presentation Show, this time held at the Mettis Aerospace Sports & Social Club, on Friday 22nd November. The packed room seemed to enjoy everything we played once again, and the dance floor saw loads of action throughout the evening. The new songs were very well-received, and the requests for encores were much appreciated! Our congratulations to the winners this year, and thanks to Gary for another brilliant and challenging quiz, as always! We were honoured to be invited to perform at the Dudley Golf Club Cabaret and Awards Evening on Saturday 9th November, where we performed for a packed room. We also had the opportunity to wish John a very happy birthday, which brought with it the usual jokes from several directions! The dance floor saw plenty of action and we were delighted by the excellent response from the audience! Many thanks to you all for a wonderful reception! We returned to Pittshill Victory WMC in association with Elcock Entertainments Limited on Saturday 2nd November and were once again greeted by a busy club and enthusiastic punters! The song choices were once again well received, especially the rockier numbers and we were delighted by the warm response and cries for encores at the end! Thank you all for the wonderful welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you next year! We returned to Stockingford Sports & Social Club on 26th October for a special Halloween-themed evening, and were even given the honour of judging the fancy-dress competition: congratulations to all of the brilliant participents! The music seemed to go down very well once again, especially when we let rip with the rock stuff. Many thanks for the brilliant welcome once again, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in February 2014! We returned to Blackheath Liberal Club for our second gig of the year, and were greeted by a packed and enthusiastic club. The choice of material was thoroughly appreciated and the dance floor saw plenty of action later. We got plenty of yells for encores so we did another 30 minutes or so. Many thanks to you all for the warm, friendly and generous reception, and we will look forward to seeing you all again next year! We returned to one of our regular haunts on Sunday 13th October, to Pensnett Social Welfare Centre and were once again greeted by a packed club, with punters who were up for a fun evening. The regular favourites went down well as did the newer songs, and the dance floor saw plenty of action, especially in the second set. Many thanks to you all once again for a great welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you all again soon! We returned to Cradley Heath Liberal Club on Saturday 12th October and were greeted by a packed club, full of enthusiastic punters! We played all of the old favourites plus a selection of new material and this all seemed to be very well received - the dance floor saw plenty of action in the second spot and by the end of the night, the yells for more kept coming - so we played an extra half hour, much to everyone's delight! Many thanks to Steve and the punters for a brilliant welcome, and we'll see you all again on New Year's Eve! We were honoured and delighted to be asked to perform for Jenna and Joe on their wedding day, Saturday 5th October, which took place at Blakelands Country House in the Staffordshire countryside. The happy couple and their guests all seemed to enjoy the songs we performed, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time - our very best wishes to you both for a wonderful life together! :-) We returned to Pelsall Social Club for our second booking of the year on Saturday 28th September and were once again greeted by the warm friendly and enthusiastic audience. The new material was especially well received and the dance floor saw plenty of action, especially in the second and third spots! Many thanks to you all for the wonderful reception and we'll see you all again in January 2014! We returned to Spring Meadow Social Club for the first time this year (our earlier gig had to be cancelled due to the snow earlier in the year) and were greeted by an enthusiastic and appreciative audience - the new material went down a storm and the requests for encores were greatly appreciated! Many thanks to Dave and the punters and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in October next year! We returned to Cannock Social Working Men's Club on Saturday 14th September for our second visit of the year and were greeted once again with a busy club full of enthusiastic punters. As promised, we played plenty of new songs and numbers that had been requested and they seemed to go down a storm! Many thanks for the brilliant response and we'll see you all again in March 2014! We returned to Redstone Social Club for our second visit of the year on Saturday 7th September (happy birthday Gill!) and were once again greeted by an enthusiastic crowd, who soon filled the dance floor! The new songs went down very well - which is always nice to know - and many thanks for the several encores! We'll look forward to seeing you all again in May 2014! We played our 2013 booking for Baggeridge Miners Welfare Club on Saturday 31st August and were once again greeted by an enthusiastic crowd, who seemed to enjoy the songs, and especially the new material. The dance floor saw plenty of action, and many thanks to Marlene and the punters who gave us such a brilliant welcome - we'll look forward to seeing you all again at the end of 2014 for a special gig... ;-) We returned to the Stockingford AA Pavilion Club on Saturday 24th August and were once again greeted with a warm and enthusiastic crowd - plus several very knowledgeable punters who certainly knew their 80s pop hits! Many thanks to everyone for the brilliant welcome once again, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in December! We returned once again to Allens Sports Bar & Social Club on Sunday 18th August and were once again greeted by a friendly and enthusiastic crowd of punters - the new material seemed to go down well, along with all of the old favourites. Many thanks to you all for the wonderful welcome, and we'll hope to see you again in 2014! We played our 2013 booking for Parkes Hall Social Club on Sunday 11th August, and were once again greeted by Karen and the enthusiastic punters at the club. The dance floor soon filled up once the right songs were unleashed, and it stayed that way for the rest of the evening! Once again, "Monkey House" went down extremely well, a trend we are seeing very frequently! Many thanks once again for a wonderful welcome and response to our show and we'll look forward to seeing you all again next year in July! We were honoured and delighted to have been asked to perform at Anne Jeavons' special birthday party which took place at Pattingham Working Mens Club on Saturday 10th August. We were able to incorporate songs that Anne had asked for and the whole event seemed to go down with Anne and the guests really well! Many thanks for asking us to perform and many thanks for the wonderful reception and lovely comments made! We returned to Weston Coyney Private Social Club on Saturday 3rd August and were once again greeted by a packed and enthusiastic crowd. As always, they enjoyed our material and the dance floor was soon packed! Many thanks once again for the wonderful welcome, for the kind comments, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again next year in April! We played our 2013 booking for Springfield Social Club on Saturday 27th July and were greeted by an appreciative and enthusiastic crowd once again - it was a little too hot for lots of dancing, but "Monkey House" certainly drew everyone out of their seats! Many thanks once again to John and the punters for the excellent welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you all again next year! We played our 2013 booking for Quarry Bank Labour Club on Sunday 14th July on another swelteringly hot day - many thanks once again to the punters who came out despite the heat and who also stuck around right until the end of the show! The choice of material went down really well, and once again, "Monkey House" proved to be a hit with everyone. Many thanks to Trevor and all of the punters for the wonderful welcome and we'll see you all again in July 2014! We played our 2013 booking for Ashwood Social Club on Saturday 13th July on the hottest day of the year - many thanks to all of the punters who came along to support us despite the heat! The dance floor saw plenty of action - "Human" was an especially big hit - and everyone seemed to enjoy the selection of songs we played - and we were delighted by the requests for encores, which we were happy to play. Thanks to Brian, Pat and the punters and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in April 2014! We played our 2013 booking for Summerhill Social Club on Sunday 7th July in another very hot environment - the punters were clearly enjoying the wide range of material we played and the dance floor saw several spots with action during the evening. Many thanks for the wonderful welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you all again next year! We played our 2013 booking for Smethwick Labour Club on Saturday 6th July in swelteringly hot weather, and were once again greeted by a wonderful audience who seemed to enjoy the song choices and kept the dance floor busy all night! We were very honoured to be asked to play for Sarah and Rob's wedding on Saturday 22nd June. The venue was wonderful and the bride and groom seemed to have the day they had been wishing for. We were very pleased with the was that everyone got involved and the selections of music seemed to hit the spot! Once again DJ John was in action keeping the dance floor busy, and then we rounded the night off with our final set! Our very best wishes for a wonderful future together, Sarah & Rob! We returned to one of our regular venues on Father's Day, Sunday 16th June, to play a special gig at Kinver Constitutional Club - we were delighted by the warm welcome we received from the busy club, and the second spot dancing left us breathless! Well done to you all, and many thanks for the wonderful reception and for helping us to have a brilliant day! We'll look forward to seeing you all again in the not-too-distant future! We played our debut gig at the Windmill Sports & Social Club on Saturday 15th June and were greeted by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic audience who seemed to enjoy our choice of songs. The dance floor saw plenty of action throughout the night. Many thanks for the lovely warm welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you again in February next year. We were honoured to be ask to play at a special birthday celebration at Studley Road Social Club on Saturday 8th June, and we entertained a busy room, as well as DJ John taking to the dual iPods once again. We made our Wednesday-night debut at Cradley Heath Liberal Club on 5th June and were greeted by a packed crowd with loads of our good friends - many thanks to you all for the continued support! Thanks for the wonderful response to the material we played and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in October! We returned to one of our regular venues, Netherton Sports & Social Club, on Saturday 1st June and were greeted by a packed room who seemed to enjoy the songs we performed. "Human" and "Monkey House" were especially well received with a packed dance floor that stayed that way for most of the evening. Cries for encores started after the second set (there were three sets!) and meant that we played an extra hour for the enthusiastic punters! We can only say that we were bowled over by the brilliant response: thank you all so very much for making us feel amazing! Thanks as always to Malcolm and Irene and we'll look forward to returning in the not-too-distant future! We played our debut gig at Short Heath Liberal Club on Saturday 25th May and were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd - a lot of punters were away for the extended Bank Holiday weekend, but those left were having a good time and the dance floor saw plenty of action right from the start. Many thanks for the enthusiastic welcome, and thanks to our friends who came to support us as well! We'll look forward to seeing you all again soon. We played our first gig of 2013 at one of our regular haunts, Redstone Social Club, on Saturday 11th May, and were greeted by an enthusiastic audience who kept the dance floor packed. We were delighted by the audience response - including the yells for encores of which we played five- and we're looking forward to seeing you all again in September! Many thanks to you all! We returned to Blackheath Liberal Club exactly a year to the day since we played our debut gig there last year, on Saturday 27th April, and were greeted once again by a warmly enthusiastic crowd. The dance floor saw plenty of action and the choice of material went down very well, as did the several encores! We returned to one of our regular haunts, Pensnett Social Welfare Centre, for the first of our two 2013 bookings on Sunday 21st April and were greeted with the usual warm, enthusiastic welcome. We were honoured and delighted to be asked to play for Ken as he celebrated his birthday and retirement on Saturday 20th April - the club was packed with family and friends and everyone had a whale of a time! We managed to fit in some of the rock that Ken loves plus enough dance music to keep the dance floor busy throughout the evening! The material took a little while to kick in but once it did, the response was excellent! We were pleased with the many cries for more, even after we'd already finished playing. Many thanks for the lovely welcome, everyone! We returned to Allens Sports Bar & Social Club on Bank Holiday Monday 1st April, less than a month since we played there before! The club was quite full and a lot of our fellow entertainers had turned out to support us (many thanks everyone!). The material seemed to go down really well once again, and everyone was up for the party atmosphere! Well done to the Easter Bonnet winners as well! Many thanks for another brilliant evening and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in the summer! We played our debut gig at Old Hill Cricket Club on Saturday 30th March, and were greeted by a select and enthusiastic crowd. Many thanks for the warm welcome and the very kind and generous comments made - thanks to the dancers who kept the dance floor busy, and we'll hope to see you again in the not-too-distant future! We were honoured to be asked to take part in one of the BASICS charity events at Stockingford AA Pavilion on Saturday 16th March where we were part of the packed programme of entertainment. The audience had a great time throughout the evening, and definitely seemed to enjoy our selection of music, keeping the dance floor busy throughout. We were honoured to be asked to take part in the annual Jack Stain Remembrance Show, organised by Mick Butterfield and South Staffs Entertainments on Thursday 7th March. This year it took place at St Mary's Community & Social Club, Cannock, and we were delighted to share the bill with Simon Dean, Misty Duo, Kerrie Weston, and Ivan Jones - all top flight artists in their own rights. As you can imagine, the show was spectacular, with everyone pulling out all of the stops in memory of Jack. We were shocked and delighted to find at the end of the night that we had been voted as the overall winners, and will now join the previous winners on the trophy! Many thanks to everyone who helped out with the show and many thanks to everyone who came along to support us! We played our first gig of the year at Allens Sports Bar & Social Club on Sunday 3rd March, playing our third gig of the weekend, and were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd as usual. The material went down well once again, especially the rock songs in the second half, and the dance floor also saw its fair share of action. Many thanks for the warm welcome once again, and we'll see you all again on Easter Monday! We returned to one of our regular haunts at Cradley Heath Liberal Club where we received our usual warm welcome on Saturday 2nd March from Steve and the punters! The dance floor saw plenty of action, and where "Welcome To The Monkey House" went down an absolute storm! We were very honoured to play at Dave's retirement party on Friday 1st March at Weston Coyney Private Social Club - the club was packed and everyone clearly had a wonderful time, including the guest of honour of course! Many thanks for inviting us to be part of such a landmark, and we'll look forward to seeing everyone again when we're back at the club in August. We were delighted to play for Sue's special birthday on Saturday 23rd February at Cradley Heath Liberal Club and everyone seemed to have a great time - many thanks for the warm reception and well done to John for his excellent DJ skills once again! We returned to Coseley Working Men's Club for the first time in a few years on Saturday 16th February and unleashed our latest show, which seemed to be very well received. There wasn't a lot of dancing going on but there was plenty of applause - "Welcome To The Monkey House" seemed to be very popular - and yells for "More!" at the end! Many thanks for the great reaction and the lovely feedback we received, and we'll hope to see you all again soon! Gill's shots capture the event really well, as always! We made another debut on Sunday 10th February when we played our first ever gig for Charlie at Darlaston Sports & Social Club. We were delighted by the wonderful response from the audience members, especially as so many people had turned out despite the snow! Suffice it to say that we had to play several encores, and even after we had finished, there were still cries for more. The good news is that we will be back with you in 2014, and we'll look forward to playing you lots more songs that you'll enjoy! Many thanks for the brilliant welcome from Charlie and the punters! We played our first gig of 2013 for Cannock Social Working Mens Club on Saturday 9th February, and managed to beat any snow this year! We received a wonderful welcome as always and were especially delighted by the interaction with the audience!
