This page shows the photos taken during our 2011 gigs, together with the text written at the time: as such, it represents a complete visual record of what was happening with the band during the whole of 2011. The gigs are listed with the most recent first, then going back through the year, so you might need to scroll the page to find what you are looking for. On the other hand, if you have arrived at this page from the Gig Archive page for 2011, you will be linked directly to the set of photos that you want to see! Enjoy! Our final gig of the year was at Netherton Liberal Club for their New Year's Eve celebrations. As you might expect, the club was packed with everyone looking forward to an evening to remember: as you might guess, we played our hearts out to make sure that everyone had the time of their lives! The dance floor really became busy when we rolled out the rock classics in the second set, and it stayed that way for the rest of the evening, ably assisted by the resident DJ. John brought in the New Year in his own inimitable style, and we played a short third set to keep the party going! Many thanks to you all for a brilliant start to 2012, and we'll see you all again in November! We returned to Cradley Heath Liberal Club on Boxing Day, 26th December, and pulled out all the stops for an extra-special post-Christmas celebration! Judging by the response of the packed audience, we got things right - everyone seemed to have a brilliant evening, and the requests for encores continued despite already having played several - so we added one more just for fun! Thanks to Steve and the punters for another fantastic reception and we'll see you all again in March 2012! We returned to Cradley Labour Club for our 2011 gig on 17th December - it's been more than a year since our last visit, and the changes all seemed to go down really well! There was a great party atmosphere and people were dancing for virtually the whole evening. Thank you all for such a brilliant welcome, and for asking for so many encores! We'll hope to see you all again really soon - have a great Christmas, New Year and enjoy Gill's photos! We returned to Quarry Bank Labour Club after virtually a whole year of gigging on Saturday 10th December and were greeted by a packed room, with the punters enjoying everything we played. The dance floor was in action very quickly and kept busy for the rest of the evening, especially in the second set. Many thanks to you all for the fantastic welcome once again, plus the calls for encores, and we'll see you in July 2012 with more new songs! Unbeknownst to us, the camera flash gun had died, hence the appearance of the pictures: enjoy! We returned to Pensnett Social Welfare Centre on Sunday 4th December for our third visit of the year, and despite having had a hectic weekend, we pulled out all of the stops, as usual! A new number here and there plus all of the old favourites went down well with the punters, despite the very cold weather! We were honoured and delighted to have been asked to provide entertainment for Cheryl and Sam's wedding celebrations on Saturday 3rd December, which took place at The Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton. The weather was bright and crisp, and the setting was ideal. We had a great time playing to the happy couple and their guests, and the choice of material seemed to go down really well, as always. Our very best wishes to Cheryl and Sam as they start their new lives together, and many thanks for the glowing compliments we received! We received plenty of wonderful feedback, as well as being asked to play several encores, which we happily did! Many thanks, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again soon. We returned to Rugeley Progressive Working Mens Club on Saturday 19th November in association with Diamond Entertainments, where we shared the bill with Phil Aaron. We had the pleasure of opening the second half of the show, and managed to keep the dance floor full for the whole of our set, before being presented with our lovely glass awards. Gill photographed the proceedings for posterity! We returned to Gornal & Sedgley Labour Club on Saturday 15th October for our second appearance of the year, and were also able to add our good wishes and congratulations to Josie for her birthday. This year, the event was once again sold out, and the funds raised this year exceeded the brilliant total raised last year! Many thanks to all of the generous donors who took the total to over £4000 (as of at the gig - other events will have increased the total even more!), and we were delighted by the wonderful reception we received: we had to play 7 encores, which has got to be some sort of a record!
