This page shows the photos taken during our 2007 gigs, together with the text written at the time: as such, it represents a complete visual record of what was happening with the band during the whole of 2007. The gigs are listed with the most recent first, then going back through the year, so you might need to scroll the page to find what you are looking for. On the other hand, if you have arrived at this page from the Gig Archive page for 2007, you will be linked directly to the set of photos that you want to see! Enjoy! Our final gig of 2007 was the New Year's Eve Celebration at Cannock Social Working Mens Club in association with Diamond Entertainments. Gill's brilliant photos show what a colourful and enjoyable time everyone had: roll on next year! Once again, we think that most of the pictures speak for themselves, so we've not put captions on all of the pictures!
A few days later, we were back at the same venue for the Oakham Reunion Celebrations on Saturday 29th December, and our third outing at this time of the year in this venue! The crowds seemed to enjoy the additions to our set lists, and Gill has sorted her new camera, as these photos show!
We were honoured to perform for Rachael's 30th Birthday on Thursday 27th December, and we also discovered that new cameras can be more complicated than we originally thought! Here are a very "avant garde" set of pictures!! Our second visit to the Waggon and Horses on Saturday 22nd December was our last proper public gig for 2007 (our remaining gigs are more private functions, with admission by ticket), and we had a whale of a time, as you will be able to see from these photos, taken by Gill with her Christmas present new camera! She has taken the pictures without flash so as to show the range of colours produced by the band's lights! Once again, we're letting the pictures speak for themselves - so no captions! We returned to the Hill & Cakemore ExServicemen's Club on Saturday 8th December, and despite the smaller crowd, we received a very enthusiastic welcome, plus encores, as well as singing a song for the newly wed couple who had had their reception there during the day (congratulations!). We'll be back in 2008, and here is the photographic record courtesy of Gill, as always!
We played our first gig at Ball Green Working Mens Club in Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 1st December, and once again we were given a very warm welcome, and everyone had an excellent time - including us! We'll be seeing you again next year, and until then, enjoy the photos! We played our second gig at Charlemont Bowling Club on Saturday 24th November, and received a very warm welcome from Taff and the great crowds - many thanks for the encores, and we'll see you all again when we return in 2008. For now, enjoy all of the photos that Gill took!
We played our first ever gig at Bewell Head Workmans Club on Saturday 17th November, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves - the crowds seemed to be having a great time too! We'll look forward to seeing you again in 2008! Enjoy the pictures taken by Gill. Here are Gill's photos of our first "real" gig at Rowley & Blackheath Labour Club on Saturday 10th November - we had a great time despite our PA problems (and a special thanks to John for sorting them out so professionally!), and we'll be back again in 2008! We played at The Queensway also for the second time on Saturday 3rd November - we received another excellent reception from the enthusiastic punters, and the dancers who never let up! Gill captured these excellent atmospheric images, but we also had our friends Marion and Dave at the gig, and Marion captured her own set of pictures, which you can access here! Enjoy! We visited Harrisons Sports & Social Club for the second time on Saturday 6th October - this time Kay wasn't pregnant! The audience gave us a great reception, and we played them some of our new songs as well - including the first performance of "Endless Love"! Check out the pictures below, taken by Gill: click on an image to see the full-sized version, as usual. We started gigging again after the birth of Mathew Davis on Saturday 29th September at Brierley Hill Labour Club, where we received our usual warm welcome, and had a whale of a time, despite Kay's cold affecting some of her higher notes! Gill took the photos as always. We played at the Northampton NSPCC May Ball on Saturday 12th May: everyone had a great evening, including us. Gill managed to snatch a few pictures, whilst dodging the dancers on the very busy dance floor - and all in a very worthwhile and important cause.
Our first gig at Hawkins Sports & Social Club for their Bowling Presentation on Friday 20th April met with an excellent reception for the punters, who kept dancing for most of the evening. Gill was kept so busy with the lights that she only got to take 4 photos - and here they are! We had a great time performing at Rowley & Blackheath Labour Club for their Fishing Awards evening on 14th April, and the crowds seemed to enjoy it all as well! Here at last are Gill's pictures, and our apologies for the delay getting them here for you. Our 2007 return to Cannock Social Working Mens Club, in association with Diamond Entertainments, on 7th April went down really well - Gill snapped away as always and here are the excellent results! Gill captured our return to the Hill & Cakemore ExServicemen's Club after an absence of four years on Bimal's birthday - 31st March - and we received a brilliant welcome - as we hope these photos show! We'll see you all again in December! Here are the photos taken by Jenny at our gig in the Waggon and Horses Family Pub on 10th March - Gill wasn't able to do her usual job this time, so thanks to Jenny for stepping in so admirably. We'll see you all again in May! Enjoy! Here are Gill's photos from our recent return visit to Stechford Social WMC: we had a great time as did the crowds, who again requested several encores - we'll see you again later in the year, but for now here are the pictures!
These are Gill's photos from our first gig at Harrisons Sports & Social Club - again, we had an excellent time, supported by a warm crowd who also requested four encores! OK, so it's not a sequence, but we liked it just the same! Click on the thumbnails to view the full-sized image in a new window, as usual! Here are Gill's photos from our debut performance at Charlemont Bowling Club, where we had a great time, and were well-received by the enthusiastic crowd - plus requests for four encores! Is this the start of a trend, we wonder?! Our first 2007 gig was at Brierley Hill Labour Club, where we have become quite well known. We always enjoy playing this club, and we received a great reception again - and requests for three encores, which we were happy to oblige! Here are Gill's photos, including some shots where we were moving just too fast for the camera to catch us (in other words, they look a bit blurred!). |
