Apologies for the delay in getting the 2013 photos up-to-date - the webmaster has been furiously busy so far this year, but is now catching up! ;-)
We returned to one of our regular haunts at Cradley Heath Liberal Club where we received our usual warm welcome on Saturday 2nd March from Steve and the punters! The dance floor saw plenty of action, and where "Welcome To The Monkey House" went down an absolute storm! Plenty of encores followed, and many thanks to everyone for the fabulous reception once again! We'll see you all again in October!
We returned to Coseley Working Men's Club for the first time in a few years on Saturday 16th February and unleashed our latest show, which seemed to be very well received. There wasn't a lot of dancing going on but there was plenty of applause - "Welcome To The Monkey House" seemed to be very popular - and yells for "More!" at the end! Many thanks for the great reaction and the lovely feedback we received, and we'll hope to see you all again soon!
We made another debut on Sunday 10th February when we played our first ever gig for Charlie at Darlaston Sports & Social Club. We were delighted by the wonderful response from the audience members, especially as so many people had turned out despite the snow! Suffice it to say that we had to play several encores, and even after we had finished, there were still cries for more. The good news is that we will be back with you in 2014, and we'll look forward to playing you lots more songs that you'll enjoy! Many thanks for the brilliant welcome from Charlie and the punters!
We played our first gig of 2013 for Cannock Social Working Mens Club on Saturday 9th February, and managed to beat any snow this year! We received a wonderful welcome as always and were especially delighted by the interaction with the audience! Thanks for the brilliant welcome once again, many thanks for the many generous comments made as well, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in September when we plan to have some of the songs you've requested ready to unleash for you!
We made our debut at Cheslyn Hay Community & Sports Club on Saturday 2nd February and were delighted by the reaction of the club members! Everyone seemed to enjoy our diverse range of material and found it quite different to the artists they usually have. We always try to bring out the surprises and these all seemed to go down really well! Many thanks for the wonderful responses and we'll see you all in December!
We played our 2013 gig at the Forty Four Club on Saturday 26th January, and were delighted with the turn-out at the club, despite the snowy weather. Everyone seemed to enjoy the choice of material, and despite his very bad throat, the audience even persuaded him to sing, which was very warmly received! Many thanks for the fantastic welcome, and we'll look forward to seeing you all again in the not-too-distant future!
We returned to Pelsall Social Club for the first of our 2013 gigs on Saturday 12th January and were greeted by a packed and enthusiastic club, who seemed to appreciate the choice of material, including a number of new songs. Gear issues aside, everyone seemed to have a great time and the cries for more continued even after we'd finished our initial encores so we played some more - and still the cries continued! Many thanks for that wondeful welcome and we'll see you all again in September!
We returned to The Hare & Hounds for our 2013 gig on Friday 11th January, and received a warm welcome once again, despite the very cold temperatures outside, which had probably put a lot of people off of coming out. Never the less, the people who were in seemed to enjoy the show and the material was well received once again. Thanks for the welcome and we'll look forward to seeing you again in the not-too-distant future.
